Participating Houses: Brodsworth Hall, Burton Constable, Castle Howard, Harewood House, Lotherton Hall, Temple Newsam. A separate three-year project to catalogue the library at Nostell Priory is being undertaken by the National Trust independently.
The YCHP Libraries Project, completed in May 2006 was undertaken with the aim of reviewing the library collections of the houses within the Partnership, in order to establish the range and depth of their holdings and create a brief catalogue database. During the review process a general overview of the collections was built up and this, together with the catalogue database, will inform and support research by the Partners.
The project was funded jointly by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, via YMLAC, and the University of York Library. The Project Officer was Dr David Griffiths and the Project Manager was Elizabeth Harbord, both of the J.B. Morrell Library, University of York
